How It Works
Get up and running in minutes
Configure
Select your OakVar executable and the result database you want to explore. The app auto-detects your OakVar installation to speed things up.
Connect
Start the MCP server. For Claude Desktop, copy the generated config. For web-based LLMs, use the local URL or a secure tunnel.

Analyze
Ask questions in natural language. "What are the pathogenic variants in this sample?" "Summarize the findings for Gene X."
*Your OakVar annotation data never leaves your local machine. That said, if your questions require variant-level detail, those details may be included in queries sent to LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. We recommend opting out of chat-based model training. For complete privacy, use a local LLM.
